The El Dorado Nordic Ski Patrol was formed during the winter of 1982 by a small group of cross country skiers working as volunteers for the U.S. Forest Service. The Ski Patrol has evolved into a non-profit corporation that continues to work with the Eldorado National Forest. We are open to both back country skiers and snowshoers. The patrol's primary objective is public service and education associated with winter mountain recreation. We welcome new members!
We ask that prospective members come to a minimum of two events (for example, a Patrol meeting, a class, and/or join us on an Open Ski/Snowshoe) so that we can get to know each other. In addition, the prospective member can learn more about how the Patrol functions.
After the prospective member comes to at least two Patrol events, they should fill out the three forms below and hand them to a Board member or send them to our membership coordinator. The Board will then vote on whether or not to accept the membership. If membership is accepted, the webmaster will send the new member an email, and explain how to pay the dues through the website.
